Virginia Capital PhotoThe Virginia Apartment & Management Association (VAMA) and its local affiliates comprise Virginia's only statewide advocacy organization for quality rental housing.  VAMA exclusively represents apartment owners, managers, and developers.  VAMA protects the multifamily housing industry at the Virginia General Assembly year round and employs professional lobbying services.  During the General Assembly session, weekly updates on bills of interest to the multifamily housing industry are available on the VAMA website for members.  VAMA publishes a Capital Focus magazine annually, which reviews all pertinent legislation and prepares members for any changes.  Additionally, VAMA offers the Virginia Redbook at a generously reduced rate to members.  The Redbook takes each section of the Virginia Residential Landlord Tenant Act and the Virginia Landlord Tenant Act and offers commentary from attorneys regarding practical application of the laws governing our industry today.  The Redbook is a must have resource for onsite daily operations.

VAMA also offers federal legislative efforts through its affiliation with the National Apartment Association (NAA).  NAA is Americas leading national advocate for quality rental housing. NAA is a federation of state and local affiliates, comprised of more than 28,000 multifamily housing companies representing more than 4.4 million apartment homes throughout the United States and Canada. Members in good standing of any affiliated association are automatically considered members of NAA and entitled to NAA benefits.
