As a new feature members may now post their own events to the calendar of events section. This feature may be used by owner/manager or vendor members of the association. Whether its an open house or a training session, members may use this feature to help spread the word about this event.

VAMA and its local affiliates reserve the right to approve all submissions to the Calendar of Events.

Join A CVAA Committee Today! Become More Involved With Your Association!

SPECIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE: Assists with planning all CVAA’s major events including: The RAMMY Awards, Golf Tournament and Trade Show. Planning includes overall program details, coming up with new and fresh ideas, location/food decisions, marketing, decorations and much more. This committee is great for individuals who have a flare for event planning and want to continually improve the quality of CVAA’s major events!

CAREER DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE: Develops and organizes all aspects of the CVAA Education Calendar including: NAA Designation Programs, Seminar topics, instructors, locations and course benefits. Seminar topics vary and include (but not limited to); VRLTA, Leasing, Fair Housing, Maintenance Issues, Customer Service, Resident Retention and many more. This committee is great for the individual who loves to promote industry education and is willing to research new ideas on instructors and education topics!

COMMUNITY SERVICE COMMITTEE: (Mike Martucci, 2010 Chair) Organizes CVAA’s popular food drive benefiting the Central Virginia Food Bank. This committee is great for individuals who want to improve the quality of the current food drive and help brainstorm ideas on new charitable events for the association to participate in.

ASSOCIATE COMMITTEE: (Mark Zamm, 2010 Chair) Provides a forum for information sharing amongst other fellow associate members. The committee focuses on enhancing the valuable working relationships between Associate members and Owner-Operator members. Develops ideas on how to provide better networking and sponsorship opportunities for associate members. This committee is open to all CVAA Associates, seats are first come first serve.

CVAA's 6th Annual Operation Fare Share

Important Information
1) Registration deadline is August 13th. Vendor members, local area corporate offices and communities are encouraged to participate!
2) You will have a food drive box and door hangers delivered to you the week of August 17th. We ask that you place the food drive box in a visible spot in the leasing office/corporate office AND place a door hanger on each resident's door before the start of the food drive.
3) The food drive will run from August 23rd - September 12th. Please make sure that your staff is aware of the food drive and is promoting participation amongst other staff and residents.
4) CVAA Volunteers will pick up the food September 13th, 14th and 15th. Please contact the CVAA office in the event you do not collect any contributions, avoiding an unnecessary pickup.
5) We are accepting both food and monetary donations. Remember, every $1 = 5 Meals!

About your Instructor:
Over the past 17 years Mike’s involvement in the apartment industry has covered virtually every area of responsibility. Most recently, Mike has been involved in the development, construction and post construction stabilization of many historic adaptive re-use conversions into multifamily housing. In this capacity he served as partner and advisor to multiple developers.

Mike is the former President of Main Street Realty (MSR) a 29-community portfolio that specializes in the management of historic adaptive re-use luxury communities. Prior to Main Street Realty, Mike maintained an approximate nine-year tenure with Apartment Investment and Management Company (AIMCO), concluding as the Regional Vice President (RVP) of the Michigan region, with responsibility, during his tenure in that position, for overseeing 17,500 multifamily units comprising 72 properties and approximately 365 employees. All of this Mike brings with him to help you unlock the mystery of property management financials.
